Questions we get every week

Which SketchUp plan should I choose?
Pro covers most architects, designers and builders: the desktop modeler plus LayOut for drawings. Choose Pro Scan if you model from point clouds, Pro Advanced Workflows if you also need the Revit importer, and Studio if you want V-Ray rendering as well. Go is for modelling on iPad and in the browser only. Tell us how you work and we recommend the plan.
What is the difference between Pro Advanced Workflows and Studio?
Both include Scan Essentials and the Revit importer. Studio adds V-Ray for photorealistic renders, animations and 360° panoramas. If you do not render, Pro Advanced Workflows gives you the rest for €446 per year, compared with €778 for Studio.
Is the course really free?
Yes. Master SketchUp in 4 Weeks is an online course from the CADGlobal AI Academy, included with every SketchUp subscription you buy from CADGlobal. It starts with setting up the workspace, the basic drawing tools and importing DWG files and images.
Can I buy a perpetual SketchUp license?
No. SketchUp is sold as a subscription. The plans on this page are 1-year subscriptions, renewed each year.
Does SketchUp run on a Mac?
SketchUp Pro runs on Windows and macOS. In Pro Scan, Pro Advanced Workflows and Studio the desktop modeler is Windows-only.
How do I pay and when do I get the subscription?
Click Get a Quote next to the plan. We send a quote and a pro-forma invoice, usually the same working day, and you pay by bank transfer. After payment the subscription is assigned to your email address.

Who can buy the education licenses?
SketchUp Studio for Universities is for students and universities. The School Network Lab license is for accredited educational institutions, for lab and classroom computers, and has a minimum order quantity. Education licenses cannot be used for commercial work.
